[...] Vanessa (from Vanesscipes) brought a vegetarian casserole made with black beans, chipotle, sweet potatoes, and spinach, with a masa harina crust. I’m not usually one to fill up on vegetarian fare, but this casserole was tasty and satisfying in every way. Vanessa was wonderful at getting us to actually discuss our blogging, with her great energy and enthusiasm and interesting questions for everyone. You can read her thoughts on how the potluck went here. [...]

Hey Danielle - you're more than welcome to use the photos. Thank you again for hosting - I know it can be stressful but you headed a
wonderful, fun and laid-back party! You're a great hostess!

I totally agree about community-building and am glad you initiated this first step - long overdue. Let's try to keep this up somehow.
I'm happy to help organize a monthly or bi-monthly meeting...I really do have more discussion to initiate!

Wow, what great photos! I'd love to use some of them when I post about the potluck, actually, since I was too busy to take any photos of my own on Saturday. (I'd give full credit, of course.)

I liked the way you asked everyone questions about blogging and really got us talking about it. I thought about it afterwards, and I wanted to amend my answer to the question of what we get out of food blogging - community building is a huge part of it for me, too.

This feels like it was a great step towards doing more community building, and I love that.

It was so much fun to meet you, and I can't wait to get together again!
